The Sizzled founder is acutely aware that the secret of the recipes he was raised with back in Greece don’t lie simply in the ingredients;
rather in the whole ritual of cooking, time spent with friends and family sharing the food experience.
A self-confessed obsessive of good food yet a savvy businessman, he faced his first challenge when he bought a business suffering from losses.
In 2013 he took over a franchise restaurant at Merry Hill Shopping Centre, West Midlands with poor performance and managed to turn it into a profitable business within the first year of operation and double its turnover in three years.
The key to this achievement was the customer driven
service, adapting the Mediterranean philosophy of communication and personal connection when
offering food, trying to respond to customers’ needs and overcome products’ limitations.
In 2014 another franchised restaurant opened at Lakeside Shopping Centre. After gaining valuable experience as a food operator, he realized the need to adapt the food offering to the local market and current trends, which had restricted trading as a foreign Franchise brand.
So, the idea of ‘Sizzled’ was born. In February 2018 the first restaurant successfully opened at Bluewater Shopping Centre and achieved to have with rave customer reviews from day one.
